تونس
Tunisia's numismatic history runs from Ottoman Husainid beys through French protectorate francs to the modern republic's dinars. The Husainid dynasty (1705–1957) produced some of the most artistically refined coins in the Arab world — their silver piastres and gold sultani are prized by specialists. The Bourguiba era (1957–1987) issued coins celebrating national independence and development, while the post-revolution period introduced new commemoratives reflecting modern Tunisia.

Husainid-era coins are the jewel of Tunisian collecting — particularly silver 4-piastre and 8-piastre pieces. French protectorate issues (1891–1945) are affordable and historically fascinating. The Bourguiba dinar series (1960s–1980s) is highly collectible as a complete set. Look for proof and specimen strikes from the Central Bank of Tunisia in the 1970s–80s.
