فلسطين
Palestine's coinage under the British Mandate (1927–1947) is among the most historically poignant in the Arab world. The Palestine Currency Board issued mils and pounds bearing the word "Palestine" in English, Arabic, and Hebrew — a trilingual testament to the land's contested history. The coins, minted in London and Bombay, feature a simple olive branch and the Arabic word "فلسطين". These 20 years of coinage represent the last time Palestine had an internationally recognized currency.
Every Palestine Mandate coin is a historically significant piece. The complete set spans 1927–1946 across mils (1, 2, 5, 10, 20, 50, 100) and pound. Key dates: 1927 first issues and 1942–1944 wartime pieces. Condition is critical — many circulated heavily. The 100 mils (silver) in high grade is the prestige piece. Proof and specimen strikes are extreme rarities.
